Hey I'll throw in a vote for wolves. We have more than one pack making the rounds in our area; my absolute favourite part of winter is hearing them howl on a
cold clear night. Caught sight of a jet black one a few years back, pretty uncommon among eastern timber wolves I think; what a beautiful animal.

I'm not sure about the wolf populations in the rest of the country; here in Ontario there seems to be a healthy population. Algonquin Park holds
public wolf howls once a week in the summer where you can gather at a meeting spot with a wolf expert who puts out a howl and waits for a
response. Don't know what their success rate is, but probably better than mine would be. Your chances of seeing one would be less since they
can be pretty elusive. If you're into bears, though, Ontario's the place. 100,000 bears in the province apparently (3000 in Algonquin park), and they're
not near so shy. Hope you have a great vacation wherever you go.
