Mine has to be the Survival SAK and my Bison Bushcraft fixed. Good, solid, lightweight combo.

What's your fav combo?

Nice sheath idea ... I must get around to making a baldrik too. Seems more sensible than neck carry.

Ohh, yes, I fogot the GrannyB SFA too ... a fine tool!

Leatherman Wave, and Fjallkniven S1 in a Kydex sheath (worn on a home made web harness under my left armpit) GB SFA for the big stuff :-D .

I connect each end of the broad web loop to the top and the bottom of the sheath so the sheath completes the loop, then the top of the loop goes up over the top of my left sholder, behind my neck, round the top of my right shoulder, then under my right pit and round my back to the top of the sheath for inverted carry. Very comfy even with large knives (used to wear the Busse Steel Heart I swapped with Waldorf that way). Use nice broad webbing (I use 3" Army Sling Tape, but seat belt webbing from a scrappy works well too). attach it using zip ties cut off short then the ends melted with a lighter to make everything smooth and snag free.

at the moment i'm using fallkniven f1 and mauser knives and sfa axe
but just brought my daughter fallkniven wm1 lovely small knife for carving

Either Woodlore Micarta or Helle Eggen fixed blade.
Swiss Army Huntsman and (sheepishly) Spear & Jackson hatchet.
Suplimented with a Bahco Sandvic folding saw & Tramomtina machette.

I have'nt had alot of experience, and although i havent tried it out in the bush, it would have to be the lapp puukko.

Can you get other sheaths for the lapp puukko? any links?

Is the bison fixed blade like a small machete?

Cheers,

Jake

Hi there!

My favorite couple ist the Fällkniven F1 :-) and my swiss tool (Victorinox). :-D This double helps me trough almost any cutting job. Now, it needs to be completed by a GB Wilderness hatchet that's on its way to me.
