After being impressed with the 3 PF folders I’ve bought, I thought I’d try a Beluga fixed blade. Steel is N690, specs are here along with the options.

These are amazing value for what you get. Unboxing is a pleasure, the usual sticker, cloth, air freshener thingy, and also a teklok type clip and the bolts to attach. So far I’ve just unpopped the studs and put it on my belt and it rides fine and feels very secure. Sheath, if you look in close, has an upsweep at the thumb to pop it off. And it really does pop, this one is not going to fall out for sure.

An absolute cracker, like its little yellow Mini Beluga pal, a pleasure to own.

I would definitely try the Tek Lok. I have become a fan of scout carry in recent years. Comfortable & out of the way

Yeah, it’s a lot of knife for the money, solid and comfortable.

Here are the others, the purple G10 flipper is amazing for £20 posted, I think the yellow Mini Beluga was around £38 (there’s an unboxing on here somewhere), and the blue Ripple was about £35.

It’s a real handful of knife, food preps well though there’s a slight compromise due to the thickness of the steel. But it’s a deep blade so the grind saves it. The PF knives have that ‘thing’ you only get with certain knives, that satisfaction when they’re in hand, pocket, or bag. Fondle factor, not to mention incredible value.

The loops on the sheath make horizontal belt carry a great option, the knife pretty much disappears. And the TekLok clone is superior to the TekLok in every way, much easier to clip and unclip, no binding trying to unhook it from a belt, and also very easy to adjust for width. I put it on my ESSE3 as I’m happy with the sheath loops.
