I think its just in 12c27 and pretty far along the Rockwell scale too - 62ish I think - I'd suggest you as on BB for a good explanation but might be quite tough to sharpen in the field IMHO. The Aurora is A2 if thats your bag

i dont have a grind prefrence as all different knives have different edge geometries anyway, some of these attribute to strength, some to cutting performance and others for both. i have owned some hollow ground blades which cut better than some scandi grind blades and noot just because of sharpness but because of edge geometry.
