How about a leather man multitool if the depth of pocket exists... or if not a good Swiss army penknife . I've used one for years. It has most things I might need for most jobs. In addition I have a small aldi pruning saw that is fine for firewood processing. A cheap bushcraft kife (£10) and a small second hand axe. Yes I do have better and more expensive stuff but this was what I started with and I still use these items regularly. Looked after properly they will be fine and dandy for many years and can be superseded as and when you have the need and opportunity as I have done over the years. My £10 knife has become a knife I'm happy to lend out as I purchased better ones.
