What to do with a burl?

This burl is from a long dead jack pine. There's even lichen growing on it. All I did was apply several coats of varnish.
I really like how it looks and am happy to just keep it on a shelf as is, rather than most likely destroying it by attempting to carve it into something.

Its lovely as it is I say. Probably be a right hard resiny bugger to carve.

Keep it as it is, and use as a paper weight.

not sure about it size, but i would use it
maybe a pipehead or if big enough a kuksa or knife handle scales

mind you its not easy carving do

It's about 6'' in diameter.

then i would cut /saw some knife handle scales from them and maybe use the rest to make a spoon

but you never know how the burl is inside, if there is bark inside its not that use full

its always a gamble with burls
