What i've been doing today.

Hi folks,i have been having a go at netting recently,and made a couple of bags for storing various bushy stuff,and today i made a Harpoon.The shaft is Hazel and the barb was carved from a piece of Willow.The binding is hand rolled Raffia.
Oh and a hand drill also,again the binding was hand rolled.

Hi Tam,my thinking about using Willow,was simply that its a water loving tree.
So i thought that the wood might not swell up as much,but i could be wrong

Of COURSE i will never get the chance to find out if it works or not,being illegal to use in this country.

Hi Loenja,the mesh gauge is a hand carved one that i made,i,ve just measured it and its about 1 1/2 inches.
