This site has inspired me to have a go at leather crafting. For my first go I thought I would have a go at a belt for myself. I was thinking of getting a pre cut belt veg tanned and buckle with a keeper stitched in. What would I need in the way of tools?. I was thinking Skiver, sewing needles, V-gouge, stitch marker, stitch groover, edge beveller. Is there anything else I would need to complete this project?. Cheers for any help.

you would need

a punch (rotary or those you tap with a hammer)
a sharp knife (a stanley would do)
a cutting mat (old board or lots of layered card)
an awl
needles (anything strong)
beeswax
thread (any strong)
one of those adjustable gouge thingys
stitch marker (or use a fork.)

What other projects would you like to do?
