I was lucky enough to be at the Sussex meet. So after a day of spoon carving, hobbit froe forging (a froedo if you will) and cooking up some lush grub on an open fire, to then spend the evening chatting and laughing with (and at at times) some great blokes. Watching satilites pass over head round the fire and waiting for the next chair to fail. Missed the dancing girls and Spandit though.

I chopped up a deer carcass, watched the dogs devour the legs, and polished my winter boots (Danner fort lewis) to put into storage.

Was thinking about going shooting as the rabbits numbers are getting up, but by the time i'd done the other stuff, it was too dark...

Spent the entire weekend in a nature reserve that I warden, including an overnight. Tonight I will be mostly going for a bath.

Had our first beekeeping lesson as a way to improve the homestead. Borin to most I'm sure...but fascinating in its way....amazing creatures

Aye, I have seen lots of huge bees, not sure which species, lots of gorse flowering and daffies flowering up here.

Treated the noo to some UV protection, planted the herb seeds, fixed the dodgy inlet pipe on the rain harvester, treated the garden furniture to a coat of oil, watched F1, cooked a roast chicken dinner, put some camping kit away, reproofed my paddling trews, just about to watch For Your Eyes Only with a glass of something malty.
