I doubt much will change.
If they change the name they are capitalising on the ‘exlusivity’ of the Gränsfors name. Which is wrong!
The W. axes were just as good as G.

Apparently the Gransfor range prove to be the most popular. It's the same team at the Wetterlings factory, producing Gransfor axes!

Forgive me. Is this an axe or a hatchet? Is it meant for cutting (sharp) or splitting (dull)?
With use, how do you propose to maintain the needed edge?

It's a hatchet, extremely sharp, as in shaving sharp. 16 inches long, 3 inch cutting face. Weighs 2 lb. Can be used for splitting small logs. I've carved the blank for a spoon with it. Regular stropping seems they way to go. Also have wet stones if needed.

You see, Gränsfors is a physical place. Gränsfors Bruk means in English ’ the manufacture/factory at Gränsfors’ .

Wetterlings is named after the founder, and the factory is in Storvik.

The Wetterling production is also more automated and modern. Gränsfors is more artisanal.
Another difference was the price, Gränsfors were much more expensive (to reflect the hand crafting)

I have personally not seen the axes made at the ex Wetterlings factory.
I hurridly bought a couple of Wetterlings axes when I read about the sell of them to Gransfors.
Compared to G., exactly the same function, at a lower price.
