Hi guys and gals,

I've just booked to go to the Bushcraft show on the Saturday and was given the heads up by MOT about the axe making course thing. So I booked it - damn Internet, its way too easy to spend virtual money :)

My questions are,

Anyone else going and doing the axe making? I'm down for Saturday at 13.30. Would be good to put a face or two to a user name :)

Anyone ever done or seen this before? What to expect, what do you make (don't say an axe :) ), etc.

I just could not resist the lure of an axe I had a hand in forging.
Ultimate next step is to save a bit more cash and go meet Dave Budd and make some stuff with the legend :)

Its all my fault......
Bad Sam.

Hope you have a great time mate

Yep, blame you ;)

I'm thinking about going to the show but would be staying the night too.

Yeh. Though of that, but cannot get the time away from home. Let me know if you book the axe course. Would be good to meet folk as I'm new on here and only met MOT as far as I know.

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to the forum, only signed up a couple of days ago. I have booked in for the axe course but on the Sunday morning. Really looking forward to it. I'll be at the show for the weekend, would be good to meet some people there.

Loving the forum

John

Was not cheap. £90 or £95 as I recall. My hope is I get more than to watch and punch my initials in a pre formed head. I'm hoping for a bit of hands on. And to walk away with an axe I had a decent hand in making. Unfortunately I cannot find any articles on google of anybody that's done it, so have little idea what to expect. Don't even know the end type of axe it will be or if I get a choice in that?
But I kind of figured it was once in a blue moon opartunity so what the hey. And Sam made me do it ;) (my default answer if the wife asks)
