Went out today and had a shake down

I went out with my new ni patrol pack and had a shakedown with it then a short walk back.
I found it hurt my shoulders a bit after a short walk but it's probably because I didn't use the waist belt

I had a webbing with 9kg and my ni has 13kg in

Got it down to 11kg in the bag and 9 in the webbing

I find that there's a definite cutoff point (slightly bag dependent) where a bag goes from perfectly fine to slightly too heavy. If you figure out what that weight is for you, trying to stay below it will make a massive difference.

Try to get the load down to 16 kg.

A combined weight of 20kg? That's too much weight for that set up. A bergan is designed for that kind of weight, not a daysack and webbing. Just my humble opinion of course.
