My husband walks miles every day. He is a member of the forum (HWMBLT) but he doesn't post very often, and though he takes photographs he doesn't post them because he doesn't think they're good enough compared to the ones in the photo type threads.

So, I'm posting them because I like them anyway :D

This frost flower was taken this morning over in the woods at Blantyre. It was nearly -6C here this morning.

and this is the woods at Blantyre, again, last week in the snow.

I said that, and he said, "It could be sharper"

I thought that the photos were so clear that I could almost smell the cold :)

I'll pass along the compliments though :D

Thank you.

He said it was growing out of a bit of timber a little over an inch across, but the flower was nearly three.
They're beautiful things, and always a bit of a fascination :)
They really stand out among the dark leaf litter too.

One question, does (HWMBLT) mean "he who must be lied to" or "he who must be loved too"? :dunno:

He Who Must Be Listened To…..it's the male equivalent of SWMBO :D

He's actually quite a quietly spoken man too. I can't lie for toffee, so I don't bother trying :)

His walks take him around most of the local woodlands and rivers, and he takes photos to let me see them when I'm not up to walking miles :D

You made me chuckle Mary. :D
I was taught that to be a good liar you had to have an excellent memory and mine is very selective, completely unreliable and wilful. I can remember dimensions for a job two years back but not what we had for dinner Sunday or my times tables! Thank Casio for the calculator ;)
