Weekend at Loch Ken

Just booked a weekend family camping at Loch Ken, Castle Douglas and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of things to see/do in the area.

Red Kite feeding station at Bellymack farm Laurieston near end of Loch.

Good walks all around the area.Two hides at rspb reserve on west side of Loch.

Hi Richard just got back from there,was originally going to loch lomond but the weather changed our plans,Will post some pics later but really enjoyed out time there,

We used to travel up from Rochdale to camp and fish at Lock Ken about 30 years ago on school trips in the holidays. Send the place my love, had great times and helped my mate land a 29lb pike – scary!!
