Weather forecasting

Hi folks (long time no type)!

I'm trying to track down an old article which mentioned a chap who forecast the weather using weather records and was far more accurate than the Met Office.

Does anyone remember the article? Or could you help me find it?

Not the one I was thinking about, but thanks all the same.

The one that I can recall was posted on here ages ago and there was quite a discussion about it as the forecaster in question was achieving a very high accuracy.
