My house is well prepared for hot days. Even if outside the temperatures are on the 40ºC mark my house is about 25ºC and I can tolerate that with no problem. But if I have the oportunity to sleep outside in the garden of course I'll grab the opportunity! In hot summer nights in the center and south Portugal we can sleep outside without having a fire or blanket to warm us up so, you see it gets much hotter than in the UK. I'm thinking about getting a DD hammock and if I get one my first sleep attempts on it are going to be in the backyard.

The good about bushcraft is you can pratice your skilss and use your kit in almost every place.

All this to say, you're not alone and you're not weird...

We cook on the barbecue as often as we can and try to stay outside afterwards. The chimenea followed by additional blankets and jumpers help extend it.

I've been tempted to bivvy in the garden.
