So the weather has finally decided to resemble summer and the house is now too hot at night for me to sleep comfortably. Would love to just up sticks and move into the woods, but life ain't that fair.

So the question is, am I sad for squeezing in a hammock to our postage stamp of a garden, or are there a few more like minded people out there who also sleep in the garden?

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

Wish I'd sunk in another cast iron clothes pole tbh. and I'd do it too.
Not the first time I've given up trying to sleep in the house and gone and curled up in one of the lie back garden chairs for the rest of the night.

cheers,
Toddy

It's been known for me to sleep in the hammock down in the cellar a few times. Once like you I was too hot in the bedroom (ooh er! ) so went down there to cool down, and a couple of times I've come home drunk and made the tactical decision to retreat down there instead of facing the wrath.

What about the creepy crawlies and things that go bump in the night. :lmao:

The only thing that disturbed my sleep was a tremendous racket under the blackcurrants and rhurbarb.......turned out to be a hedgehog  Noisy wee blighters.

The cat just curls up along side me and snoozes peacefully :)

Sounds great, I only wish I had a garden. I did however fire up my hobo stove on my balcony to roast some hotdogs to celebrate the fourth of July with my girlfriend on Sunday. Bushcrafting doesn't get much more armchair than that!

You're not alone Jack, I test all my DIY gear in the garden before taking it out for 'real'. Worst I've had is a midnight boot raid from the local fox cubs and one wandering drunk neighbour thrown out by SWMBO.
