I think you don't need one for eBay mate,

You could do it with PayPal purchase (which most seem to accept since eBay own them now).
If I'm right, I think you can just load it up from your normal bank account.

Edit: not the exact thing i'm after, but saying it can take direct from your bank account:

Worth looking into I'd say.. lots of good stuff crop up on eBay.

I found a locally based online store that takes the irish debt card lazer ( bit like uk's switch card )

however very pricey !!!
