Hello team - I am keen to try pickling a batch of walnuts this year. Would you say these are ready to go, or would you leave it another week or two? And tips or suggestions much appreciated!

Its the softness rather than the size.

Beware, Pickling walnuts is real Balls to the Wall preserving, and the end result is a very Aqquired Taste

Rather against expectations, these are fantastic! I did two large kilner jars full and one walnut is enough for a cheeseboard for two people. They taste really lovely, almost like Worcester sauce with just a hint of mulled wine.

I used a very easy recipe published in The Field. I’ll definitely do another batch next year.
