If you find someone who weaves tablet braid or uses an inkle loom, they'll probably be up for making one for you.

p.s failing that Upholstery tape (webbing) is the same stuff as that cotton braid.
I usually use wool for Cris and Voyageur belts, but the tape is cotton.
