Here in Ireland this is how all scouts learn how to cook, I remember being thought these when I was around 9 years old, it's awful to slowly see tin-foil replacing some of these methods

i went to a boarding school in devon near barnstaple, and we were taught all those methods down at the school woods . spent many a great weekend making bivvis and cooking eggs in oranges .
