I've inherited this axe from my late father, and would interested to learn of it's maker and/or possible origins.
The makers mark is two oppposing keys inside a circle and surmounted by a crown. Underneath it says "Gus Stahl" which simply means Cast Steel. On the other face it has a reverse J or lower case L and then a K.
If anybody can shed some light on the matter it would be appreciated!
