Very odd spider

Came in from the meadow and my mother-in-law said I had an acorn stuck to my sleeve. As I flicked it off I saw it was a spider with a huge green body

iPhone camera is awful but hopefully you get the idea, it's about 12mm across:

There were actually two of them on me. Not very keen on spiders & think I killed at least one of them with my hasty removal

It's probably Araniella cucurbitina, the green orb spider. Quite common apparently

I'm getting better. Moving a log pile recently helped although was a bit annoyed when one of them carried off my dog

I've never seen one of those with an abdomen that big, though it could be the picture.

I am getting better too I don't mnd if I see one in a web in the garden it is when they are in the tent or house when I start to get creeped out.

It could be full of eggs?

I once got a nip from one I was looking at, it got me on the thin skin on the back of my hand tween finger and thumb. Was similar to a nettle sting.

Just looked it up on National Geographic seems there is only about 2 left in the whole of GB ........well 1 now No idea but it looks like it has a peace symbol on its back.
