Vaude Taurus

Do any of you have any experience with this model tent as I mave been thinking of getting one for some time.

Hi,

A friend of mine has a Taurus II which he brought along on our last trip to the Alps. It looked perfectly fine and he's very happy with it.
However, I had my Hilleberg Nallo 3 with me and when comparing the two, the difference in space is very noticeable. The walls hang inward quite a bit, which might make it a bit claustrophobic. The vestibule is also small compared to the Nallo.
For the money, I'm sure it's a great buy and it was one of the alternatives for the Hilleberg when I was choosing...

I'm a big fan of Vaude tents and regret selling my old Mark III a few years ago enough to be buying another one soon.

If you're looking at 2-person tents I would also check out the marmot grid.

I have the Taurus, its a great tent. Just right for two people, not small or oversized. Depending on what model you have the inner is attached to the fly as a all in one pitch, literally in 2 mins !!

We were issued them way back when I was doing my DoE. Its an brilliant tent (we used the Taurus 2) as said by others it pitches in seconds and can stand up to quite a deluge.
That said, the wild country zephyros 2 is well worth a look too. Bit intimate for 2 though!
