Just a heads up, Varusteleka have found a courier who will ship knives to the UK. So if any of you were after one of their excellent tools but couldn't get hold of one for the last year or two...
Well done Snufkin. Just picked my email up from them announcing the news and was going to post but you've already sorted it. Just in case anyone's wondering, the courier is UPS. Been wanting to add a Skrama 200 to my collection for quite a while and just ordered it, no problem.

You'll be pleased with it. The 200 is excellent. I find it far more practical and nimble compared to the 240.
I don't need any of the knives but the kydex sheaths they are doing look interesting.

I only saw a sheath option for the 80 when I looked.
Are they doing 200 and 240 sheaths?

Does anyone know what the import limit is before tax from Finland and what UPS might charge? (I couldn't find the carriage cost, may only be at checkout, but I'd guess at around £30).

During this past year I bought some specialist embroidery kits from a South African designer, in that case so long as the total value of order plus carriage was under £130, then it came through UK customers with no VAT and no Duty as they didn't levy them if below the threshold. (I ordered 3 times during the year and kept below that threshold, in each case no duty or VAT charged). So wondered if that was the case for Finland too?

Direct lift from Varusteleka website. Hope this helps -

'As dictated by UK officials, UK VAT 20 % will be added to orders with a VAT excluded total of under 135 GBP. We will settle these taxes to the UK Gov. For orders with VAT excluded total of over 135 GBP, prices will be VAT free and you have to pay your local customs fees, taxes and duties when the item is delivered. Logistics companies, e.g. DHL Express, might also add a service fee for declaring your item on your behalf.'

Just in case anyone is undecided, pondering or remotely interested, I ordered a sharp last Monday afternoon and collected it from UPS today. A day earlier than original email from UPS and collected because I wasn't going to be in and the local office is near me. Driver checks ID and adult signature required.
Cheers.

The larger Skrama 240 also fits in the bayonet frog but the plastic sheath does not go all the way in, some 2-3cm will be visible above the mouth of the bayonet frog.
