Hi,

I've bought this old US issue Snow Camo smock with the intent of dying it a differnt colour.
However I remember the fun and games on the forum when some folk made some leather kit out of what was an old saddle but transpired to be an Old WW1 Cavalry patten saddle.

Before I break out the Dylon is this smock an irreplaceable heirloom or just an old cotton jacket...

Any thoughts welcome

think its the korean war model, worth more than the m65 type that came after, the m65 model was thin material and had a fishtail and goes for about £15, i have the white trousers and they are a polycotton type, very good quality mind but still just a shell. someone just had a parka like this they had dyed on ebay, maybe do a completed listings search and see if its the same one, see how the dye took. the one listed had had orange trim added to the cuffs, should help you identify the one i'm on about.

could be rare being the earlier type

Well, it was made in 1948 to a 1943 pattern. Before you consider dying it...consider selling it to me!

Actually, PLEASE sell it to me!!
