Part three ,,,,,,,,, Fitting the hood to the body

First off don't leave your project lying about ,,

Time to get the scissors out and cut a hole for your neck :D

Turn it inside out and pin and tack the hood to the body , I blanket stiched it into place

Run a seam of stiches all around the hood fixing it to the body

Turn it the correct way round and pin and tack the seam flat

Now run a seam around the hood to flatten the seam ,

That's the hard work finished part four to follow :)

Great stuff Cliff.
Looks a real tidy job using proper patterns like that and finishing the seams flat.

Next update , Part four .

The body :)

Turn the body inside out and pin and tack .

Run two sets of stiches down both seams ,

Turn the body the right way round and pin and tack the seams flat ( Tack them to the opposite side that you tacked the arm seams )

Stich both seams ,

This is where I am up to at present ,

More to come ;)

Good afternoon ,,, Part Five .

Turn the jacket and arm inside out and pin and tack trying not to sew the arm on inside out :(

Hopefully the arm a body sleeve that were folded over are don't bunch to much ,

Run two sets of stiches around the arm to body seams turn the right way around and pin and tack the seam flat

Sew the seams flat ,

Next I sewn on a leather patch to re-enforce a cord around the base of the shirt ,

Pin and tack the base of the shirt with the cord in place ,

Then stich the base of the shirt this may call for some singer hanging :)

Sort out the cord lock for the base

That's about it just need to add some cord locks to the hood .

Thanks very much for one of the best and clearest tutorials I've read, and on a subject most seem to find hard to grasp; excellent stuff!

Oh yeah, and the shirt looks great!
