I've had some problems with my trangia x2 recently.

compared with omnifuel, needed more pressure with liquid fuel and canister gas performance was rubbish. Sometimes it wouldn't even light. I used new canisters/different fuel, no better.

Initially I put this down to sub zero temps here in scotland/lack of practice/jet clogged etc.

However usual maintenance didn't fix it, and swapping canisters with omnifuel made them work there...

I decided to get a new 0.32mm jet. Trangia/primus use this same jet for liquid and canister 'gas', with 0.28mm for kerosene.

I bought some new 0.32mm jets (they are advertised for omniite, but they fit), still no better.

After reading that others had tried, I put the 0.37mm jet from onmifuel into tangier x2. Instantly worked better with canister gas. I retried backwards in case a block had moved, but the 0.32mm was still less good.

I've uploaded some videos.

My understanding was trangia/Primus specified the 0.32 because of CO concerns, so this is not for the tent in case. The other story was that too much heat was generated with a bigger jet, especially for the smaller 27 trangia like this one.

However, i feel I don't have any option but to use the 0.37mm and see how it goes. Will be interesting to see what it's like on liquid fuel with this, or if the 0.32 is better for that.

Any thoughts very welcome. I also now have some extra 0.32mm jets...they only sold a pack of 5.

Ironically, trangia UK don't sell spares for this, and I wasn't sure how to get 0.32mm until i realised omnilite would probably fit..
