Tracking in the snow

Recently I came across some sign.
Here it's been feeding along the shoreline on birch

Broken as it fed

A single hair on it's tracks going through the bush

Some more hair left where it had bedded down

A bed

And another

Droppings

Anyone?

Nope. The clue is in what's being eaten and in the droppings.
