nope other than being a very very very fine abrasive, as long as you dry after dude,

I believe toothpaste has tiny abrasive particles in it, which means it can be used as a (quite fine-grade) polish.
but unless you have a patina that would be removed (and you don't want it to be taken off) I can't see any other issues.
