You could be right there John, I kinda like it though, matches the top flap. I learned a couple of new skills last night- Wet forming, I had not done that before, adding a fastener, without the correct tools, I had to sharpen a drill bit and make a small anvil. I am really happy with the stitching, that is as perfectas I can get it. So over all I am very Happy with it and enjoyed making it.:).

If I had to do another I would be looking at wet forming the lid also somehow and perhaps ;) rounding off the bottom edges.LOL.
