Having said that; why not use something with a pithy core and just take that out to make life easy ?

I could use Elder and it would certainly be a lot easier to work, I just don't have any here at present nor access to any, I have Hazels in the garden, so easy for people to harvest for me as i can't currently get outside to get them myself.

I used to run a channel many moons ago but have not uploaded anything for years, It's still there but only has 12 videos on it these days.
