Today, 12th October, I have been driven indoors, by midgies

I thought I'd be safe by now, but no, damp, calm overcast late afternoon, and the blasted things are desperate for blood. My scalp and brow and my forearms are raw. Bad enough I found the anti-histamines.

Heaven help us if mosquitos ever get a real grip in the UK.

We've only had the odd mossie in the house this year, less than other years and they still coming in but that's normal here.

On a similar note I've not had any ticks on me since late summer, which is strange as i got a few in late in winter.
