Can you link to the legislation for this John? I thought it had been suggested, but don't recall it getting enacted.

I don't mean the old stuff on automatics/switchblades, but rather the update to also cover assisteds.

To the OP, if it does have a spring and you're concerned about it, you can get easily remove them in most cases and reassemble without it. It can sometimes impact the blade action but not always.

With spring assisted it's not like an automatic, you use your thumb to open as normal and it has a bit of help to open it fully. You should be able to feel a little bit of resistance closing it if it's assisted

The models I've seen are assisted and thought I'd point it out in case you weren't aware they are illegal to own or sell now

With spring assisted it's not like an automatic, you use your thumb to open as normal and it has a bit of help to open it fully. You should be able to feel a little bit of resistance closing it if it's assisted

The models I've seen are assisted and thought I'd point it out in case you weren't aware they are illegal to own or sell now
