my quest is this, to find a thin insulation, ier packs small, does anyone know a way of getting hold of thinsulate or something simular?
i already have a supply of feathers(down).

is there anything in the gardening industry or building industry simular to thinsulate?

any leads would be great! :biggthump

Isn't thinsulate made by 3M ?

Strikes me as a potentially good material to use for hammock camping in cold weather. It has exception insulating properties per inch thickness but it doesn't work well in down jacket type designs because it comes in thin sheets and doesn't have the loft needed to conform to the shape of the body.
