The first swallow of the year just buzzed me in the garden. :cool: I'm not sure if it's especialy early but my wife reckons she saw an osprey not far from home a few weeks ago so maybe it's an early migration year because it's been so mild.

I also had a reed bunting on my garden bird feeders this week. I thought I was special but google suggests that this is becoming more common now.

Aye, spotted few swallows flying about, on a nature reserve right near my house. Signs of a decent summer hopefully.

Seen my first swallow today ,always see them at my kids school 8 miles north of where I live before I see them at hone,seen my first Martin at weekend.

No sign of the martins or swifts here yet and I'm still keeping an ear out for the first cuckoo. After the snow yesterday though they probably made the right decision in delaying a bit.
