theres a hole in my chicken feeder

Today i got a galvanised feeder at the car book for £3

but is has small holes in the base

what can I do?

how small? they might be there as drainage - do they look 'manufactured'? as in evenly sized / spaced?

A bit of cardboard cut to fit the bottom? Is there enough left of the bottom to hold it?
Maybe even some newspaper, easier to fit up the sides?

Don't try and weld a patch, galve gives off nasty fumes. Epoxy and thick plastic sheet?

Something like plastic paddings chemical metal will either bung it up or hold a little square in place to cover it
