Well for me at least.

i wanted to create a knife that had all in one, a large ergonomic handle thats comfortable in all small knife grips. A usuable blade with high edge retention, for this i chose a lauri PT 95 with a 63 rockwell edge. A strong and sturdy construction, hence the use of tight grained curly birch and a ferrule.

Anyway, heres how i made the knife

shaping for the Ferrule

A tight fit, now to countersink the hole in which to peen over the tang, the countersink enables the use on an end cap.

now for Fitting the handle with epoxy, peening over the tang and shaping a groove for the end cap.

End cap fitted and epoxyed into place

handle shaped and Buffed up

Now after a night in boiled linseed oil and a sheath made (not yet dyed) it looks somthing like this

overall im realy happy with the results.

the makers mark on the blade is "LPT" (lauri progression tempered), on the sheath is just a logo i put on my personal sheaths, not sure on what its all about, it just looks cool
