Its been a long while since I posted anything here , so I thought I would re-introduce myself with a few photos from my afternoon on the river today

we are having an uncharactarisic warm spell at the moment and the snow in the valley has melted early , normalyat this time of yer i would expect here at least a metre of snow

Spring = lots of low snow, nothing leafed out yet.
I'll bet that barefoot sprint across the river was a chilly one.
Any catkins on the willows?

Yes the river was ice cold , but even in summer this river never gets warm . it comes from the melt water in the mountains. no catkins yet. in previous winters we have had snow here until may , this warm weather at the moment is not normal
