The lightweight ranger catapult

After seeing some recent catapults made from plastic pipe I decided to have a go at making one out of plastic myself.


I bought a 200mm x 100mm piece of 10mm thick HDPE plastic and decided to use a recent design of mine as the frame.


Firstly I marked out the outline and started cutting with the jigsaw.

Then one cut I started so sand and car e the rough plastic away.

Final shaping was completed using a knife and dremmel

I then fitted it with double tapered TBG.

I then weighed it to check it was lightweight at in total with bands it's 75g

I shoot this support style and TTF. It has nice power as the video shows.
