I can see a fundamental flaw in this thread, and for once it's not Southey.

Not at all, in anyway. If someone was to blame, then it would indeed be Southey. But unfortunately, cross posting at the same time means this thread will fail as in the example quoted.

It was just a good excuse to diss Southey. I had to take it.

Its a Norfolk term for a lane. In my town, we have a Laundry Loke and a Bank Loke, to name a couple.
