Yeah that's a good point Dave, but there is plenty of space for tents. We are also more than happy for people to lift the turn for a fire outside their tent as long as it is put back afterwards :)

Rain is our nemesis, and to be honest we cannot have any more at all between now we need weeks of glorious sunshine!!

And no way you can get the weekend off then realearner?

If only that could be possible, it's my duty week and on call, plus start of a maintenance shut so no one to swap with either. Always seems to be that way lately, but I will keep an eye on courses and see what I can get to :p

Exciting news!!
Although Dering farm, home of the Bushcraft Magazine, is still too soggy to hold the event, we have found another beautiful site, in Egerton, to Meet on this spring! The site is just 2 miles from Dering Farm, our current site.
It will be sign posted.

There will be a water supply, please bring containers.
Bring plenty of food. (We aim to have an onsite caterer for sat and sun, but its still in negotiation.)
There will be toilets, and plenty of firewood.
The site has open field for camping and activities, and also woodland for workshops and lots of room for hammocking.
It will be open from Friday morning, for a Saturday morning start.

If you have any questions at all, dont hesitate to call/email and have them answered.

Safe Journeys and look forward to spending the May Meet with you

Can't wait... had the location details today and been checking the venue out on Google Earth  :)

Just a quick question on the firewood, is it already cut into fire sized logs or do we have to cut it down to size?

depends on the size of your fire ;)

there will be a mixture. we are not talking chainsaw needed but the supplier knows we bushcrafters like to use our saws and axes so he said he wont bother cutting it too small. :D :D There is also a huge pile of brush that the land owner would love us to clear, and loads of dead wood in the woodlands. There will be no shortage of fire wood :D :D
