I admit was thinking of the birthday girl when I looked out the photo, you being a cat owner, but hasten to add it's an internet photo and not me. My old cat wouldn't have tolerated that level of adornment, not without me looking like I'd gone ten rounds with Wolverine.

Well, being serious . . . It could stuff up GPS navigation. Time to dig the sextant out of the box. Maybe I'd better learn to use it first.

Afterwards a small group gathered for tea and biccies and he intimated to us that satellites are often damaged by solar flares but they are not blamed as it will invalidate insurance cover due to the Act of God clauses.
