I made this one (and others) using vegetable oil cans (25l) from the local Indian restaurant together with some 1mm steel sheet and 16mm square tubing.

Stripping the paint off was a bit of a pain but worth it. It took 10 cans to make the one above.

i really like the look of that,has it warped much with the heat though?

No, they never warp, even with charcoal.

That one had a double layer of 'can' on the body to make it more durable. I use the same materials for small fire pits as well and again there's no sign of warping. I'm no expert but I guess it would be more likely to warp if I used different metals, say aluminium and steel, with uneqal rates of expansion.
