I've never owned any TAD gear. But here's my take on it.

£381 for a jacket? Manufacturing, materials, product design and overheads will be a very small proportion of that price. You could probably get a bespoke one made for that. As such you are mainly paying for marketing and brand.
Hence the question , but i'd tend to agree. Would be interesting to hear from someone who owns some however.
I have a 10yr old regatta fleece that I hammer. Cost me £9.99 and its still going strong.I owned a fleece when they started out and even with a good exchange rate I had second thoughts at the time and it was unde half that in dollar, however it went through alot and lasted 5 odd years so it was definatly worth it. I had read somewhere that they were now MIC though
Didn't mean it that way. Just that cheap gear can do the job just as well.Rather if this thread didn't turn into a negative analysis of personal choice. We all have different tastes and different budgets. Thanks in advance.

I own the ranger fleece, stealth , protearian merino hoody, special service sweater, DC covert pants, RS coverts, and several pairs of the AC F10 cargo pants and shorts - what do you want to know?
I love my gear, very expensive , but incredibly well made and long lasting and looks good out , pub or on the hill .
