That was interesting. I bought another couple of pairs of Kodiaks yesterday. 5:11 are the mutts nuts and that tape across the back pocket is really useful for holding probes and hooks when out surveying. With the Kodiaks, they have that cool little slat pocket on the thigh and hidden pocket at the rear - perfect for concealing the lower half of a knife sheath when on your belt. Either front or back. Much less conspicuous.

Thanks for this, looks like an interesting read, I will read it properly later.

For those considering purchasing a pair of 5.11 trousers I'd steer clear of the 'Tactical pant' mentioned in the article, the 5.11 TacLite is a tougher trouser, although the heavy duty cotton in the Tactical Pant is very comfy it tends to wear much faster, especially if subjected to abrasion from jacket zips, belt pouches etc.
