Sycamore Longbow

Sorry to extend the thread...but...arrows.
I have always used hazel in the past but where I live now I have little/no suitable trees, so does anybody know of any other good woods to use?

Dug up an old thread here but did you finish the bow, Woodwildling?.

I'm interested if Sycamore will make a bow, it grows like a weed round here, (that and lots of mature beech) and I'm spoilt for choice with 2-3" and thicker saplings.
