Hi everyone
I'm new on here ,but have dabbled in bushcraft for years on and off.
I am getting my 6 yr old lad interested now , we have done the tent camping and are now trying out hammocks (2 trips locally in not so good location)
Does anyone know of a good spot I can take him for a couple of nights to hang, in and around the Oldham area or even further afield .
Thanks 

One option might be to introduce yourself at any local farms. A lot of farms have an area of woodland........ and they also have an ongoing and increasing threat of theft. I'm sure an offer to do some small jobs around the farm in return for a night's camping here and there, where you'd also keep your eyes peeled for any intruders or theives would help.

Could also be a good intro for your lad to see a bit of farming.

Just a thought, but good luck with your search :)
