hello folks,
as always there is a story behind that knife
will be doing a forging course at gränsfors bruks in september and thought that, if everything turns out well, i´ll give a present to the tutor.... yes guessed right, a knife
so i gave it a lot of thought and decided to use a swedish blade and some wood from austria
got some nice plum wood from a friend as a birthday present and searched now for a suitable blade from a swedish bladesmith
got in contact with maikhel eklund, very nice dealing with him and soon got a blade
a funny thing happend when i did hold it the first time as there was a story etched on the blade... see for yourselves
and as i´m an archer that´s an unexpected extra
here the specs:
blade: carbon blade with etched petroglyphs, thanks maikhel!!
handle: mammoth ivory, black vulcanized fiber and austrian plum wood
pics done by a friend of mine, much better than i could, thank you kuno!!
what do you think
greetings from austria
