The 'Swamp Hike' is one of my favorite kinds of outings. Its basically just a bushwhacking session where I head into the worst terrain I can find and enjoy the challenges of navigating it. Today, Mrs. Whisper and I took Kid Whisper on his first swamp hike. He had a blast. We brought the new ESEE 3 which is soon to be a pass-around knife but only got to use it for scale in the pictures with the fox tracks. I'm happy to still be seeing them. I've run into a couple of pretty big foxes around my stomping grounds every so often. Anyway, it was good to get out for a short trip even though school is back in session now.
